Brighton woman appointed to state health and safety compliance board of appeals

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer appointed Kristin Domanski of Brighton, vice president of human resources for Nexcare Health Systems and the Wellbridge Group, to the Michigan Board of Health and Safety Compliance Appeals.

Domanski holds a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Leadership Studies from Central Michigan University. She will represent management in the health field for a term commencing April 3, 2020, and expiring March 18, 2024. She succeeds Craig Chunchick whose term expired March 18, 2020.

The Board of Health and Safety Compliance and Appeals reviews all contested Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) cases involving safety and health citations, orders, and appeals. The Board may order testimony at hearings, compel witnesses or require depositions, and further promulgates rules of procedure for hearings, maintaining consistency with any federal occupation safety or health standard.

These appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
