Brighton man named CEO of LOC Federal Credit Union

Stephen Grech

The LOC Federal Credit Union Board of Directors is pleased to announce the hiring of Stephen P. Grech of Brighton has been named president and CEO of LOC Federal Credit Union.

Grech brings nearly 35 years of banking experience to LOC. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Wayne State University, and has attended CEO Institute training sessions at several prestigious universities.

Prior to joining LOC Federal, Grech was president and CEO of Monroe County Community Credit Union. He also served as senior executive with Credit Union ONE from 2002 to 2017, including 12 years as executive vice president.

“We are excited to add a seasoned professional of Stephen’s caliber to the LOC team,” said LOC Board Chairman Michael Lasley. “The credit union is positioned for growth and Steve brings the perfect background and scope of experience to lead us into the future.”

Grech and his wife, Karen, live in Brighton. They have six children. Grech will begin his role as LOC’s president and CEO on Feb. 3, 2020.

LOC Federal Credit Union is a community-focused credit union headquartered in Farmington, Mich., with offices in Howell and Hartland.
