Brighton Dance Festival celebrating 10 years as Michigan’s premier summer dance event

Registration is open for the 10th Annual Brighton Dance Festival, happening Aug. 5-10, 2019. BDF provides training opportunities to experienced dancers ages 10 and up, plus community events for all to enjoy. Interested students can learn more and register at www.brightondancefestival.com. The deadline to sign up is July 22.

Notable faculty members include NYC performers Erik Abbott-Main (Sleep No More), and Tiffanie Carson (BARE Dance Co.), Chicago-based choreographers Megan Drabant, and Samuel Horning (Dance Exchange), and local stand out educators Jill Cassidy, Michelle Marzejon, and Kathy King among many others.

BDF also has a robust lineup of community events for all to enjoy, including daily in-studio performances by professional dance companies, live music, a college fair, and more. To wrap up the week, all full-time students will perform at the Brighton Center for the Performing Arts. All ticket proceeds are donated to the theatre. To date, BDF has donated over $30,000 to the BCPA and awarded more than $25,000 in tuition scholarships to dancers statewide.
