Association names Hundley Michigan’s County Clerk of the Year

Elizabeth Hundley has been named the 2022 County Clerk of the Year by the Michigan Association of County Clerks at its annual meeting, held this year in Grand Traverse County.

In addition to serving as the association’s second vice president this year, Hundley also served on the Election Modernization Advisory Committee established by Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson in 2019 to advise her administration and the Department of State’s Bureau of Elections on implementing the Promote the Vote constitutional amendment and further election reforms.

Hundley, who has served as Livingston County Clerk since January 2016, has a bachelor of business administration from Cleary University, and a juris doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law.

The Livingston County Clerk’s office has four primary divisions: official record-keeper for the county, and clerk to the Livingston County Board of Commissioners; clerk of the Livingston County Circuit Court; vital records; and elections.

The Michigan Association of County Clerks works to bring about a closer working relationship among Michigan’s county clerks, promotes a better understanding of the office of the county clerk, and engages in all activitie necessary or appropriate to achieve the purposes of its articles of incorporation.
