Art show and sale featuring artists set for Opera House during Melon Festival

The Livingston Arts Council proudly presents its 14th annual “Art at the Opera House” Fine Art Show & Sale Aug. 16-18.

This free event is held each year during the Howell Melon Festival on the first floor of the Historic Howell Opera House, with all of the participating artists present to discuss their work and answer questions. There will be painting, jewelry, digital prints, photography and more, with all the displayed art available for purchase. Additionally, the public is invited to participate in the coloring of a community mural, which will be created by local artists, and children are welcome to join in the creative fun as well at the “make-and-take” kids’ art table.

The Livingston Arts Council would like to thank its major event sponsor, Bramlett HVAC; as well as our Children’s Art Table sponsor, Brandon Krugh State Farm Agency; and our Community Mural sponsor, Meijer.

Art at the Opera House will be open 3-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18.
