Networking group pays it forward to feed front-line workers

A local networking group n existence since 2010 — that now meets via zoom meetings instead of the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce — has taken to helping feed the front lines.

Brighton Business Builders wanted to pay it forward to those people and organizations that have selflessly put their own needs aside in doing their best every day in their professions. The BBB, comprised of 16 business members, has donated, and also reached out to its community members and friends to join in the grateful actions that have made a difference.

In cooperation with Hickory BBQ Daley’s BBQ and Stateside Deli of Howell, donations are being funded to coordinate efforts inside Livingston County and surrounding area.

While our great state of Michigan is under a shelter-in-place order, Michiganders can still do our part in paying it forward.
.
Donations so far have been made and directed to the following:

1. St Joe – Howell: Good Girl Comeback donated $500

2. UofM – Ann Arbor: Pat Lotz Realty donated $500

3. Ascension Providence – Novi: Vision Computer Solutions donated $500

4. St Joe – Ypsilanti: Vision Computer Solutions donated $500

5. St Joe – Brighton: Superior Sanitation donated $500

6. UofM – Ann Arbor: Hands on Health donated $500

7. Ascension Providence – Novi: Clear Strategy donated $500

8. Apex Physical therapy Donated $500

So far Stateside Deli has fed up to 100 people at the Howell St Joseph Mercy Livingston Emergency Room, Beaumont Hospital ER in Taylor, Howell and Brighton police, St Joe Cardiopulmonary, and Chilson Road fire department. Yet to come this week for Stateside Deli is the Howell Police Department and the Chilson Road Fire Department.

Direct donations to Hickory BBQ & Grill saves all fees that Facebook and Go Fund Me collect, as we contribute 100 percent of each donation directly to the front line workers.

Another option for those who wish to contribute a tax deductible donation is through the Go Fund Me page that has been set up by the BBB or through the Donate button on our Facebook page in order to help make it easy for ones to become a sponsor as well.  Donations can be made through the BBB Go Fund Me page OR on Facebook.
