Studio West Gallery, a Work Skills Corporation (WSC) venture, is hosting a Five Year Anniversary Celebration from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, May 11. The event is open to the public.

WSC has provided employment and training services to people with barriers to employment for over 40 years; Studio West and Artisan Corner were added to provide additional entrepreneurial opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Artisan Corner provides a safe place for them to express emotions, process experiences and earn income by selling their artwork.

Studio West showcases paintings, ceramics, jewelry and fiber arts created by Artisan Corner participants as well as local artists with and without disabilities.

The Anniversary Celebration will be held at Studio West Gallery, 111 S. West St. in downtown Brighton. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be provided. RSVP to Lauren: (810) 534-6200.
