Vaccines for kids 5-11 now available at health department

//

Following the recent FDA authorization of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccination for children, the Livingston County Health Department (LCHD) is now scheduling free vaccinations for children ages 5-11.

The COVID-19 vaccine is widely available locally, and parents or guardians should go wherever works best for their family. COVID-19 vaccines are available from local primary care providers, pharmacies, and pediatrician offices. LCHD recommends individuals use www.vaccines.gov to find a convenient vaccination location.

Children ages 5-11 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the time of vaccination. Only one adult should accompany the minor to the appointment due to space limitations.

To schedule a COVID-19 vaccination appointment with LCHD, eligible individuals can visit https://bit.ly/3GQXkOL. Individuals who require special assistance or do not have internet access may call 517-552-6842 or 211 to request assistance scheduling a COVID-19 vaccination appointment. If you are able to use online resources, do not call.
