Griffith, Scofield leading United Way 2016 campaign

Carol Griffith is joining Rick Scofield as co-chairperson for Livingston County United Way’s 2016 annual fundraising campaign. Griffith is the co/owner and vice president of Griffith Realty in Brighton, and vice chairperson of the Livingston County Board of Commissioners. Scofield is chairman of May and Scofield Limited, and current chairperson of the Livingston County Economic Development Council.

“Carol and Rick are outgoing and involved local leaders who bring much enthusiasm and love for our community to our efforts,” said Dan Danosky, 2016 United Way President. “Both are tremendously community-minded and want the very best for Livingston County families. We are excited to have them sharing this key leadership role.”

Around 200 local companies and organizations support their employees contributing to the Livingston County United Way, through payroll deduction and other means. Numerous partner companies provide match dollars to their employee contributions.

“Annual campaigns are a longstanding tradition that invests dollars to address the most pressing area needs, through programs and initiatives that are vetted for using resources wisely and show proven success,” Danosky further explained. “Our focus is to see sustainable change take place via the valuable gifts made by our donors.”

In addition to the co-chairpersons, the Campaign Cabinet includes representatives from local businesses and county offices that run campaigns. Together they help distribute support materials and keep strong relationships with partner companies.
