Free, virtual Livingston County Baby Fair set for Oct. 9

LACASA’s Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Council and Great Start Livingston will host the 2021 Livingston County Baby Fair as a virtual event from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021. The event is free for all Livingston County expectant and new parents and will take place over Zoom.

The Baby Fair will include educational workshops for new parents from 10-10:30 a.m. and a virtual resource fair from 10:30-11 a.m. The resource fair will use breakout rooms to allow attendees to move freely between conversations with program representatives that include the CAP Council, Healthy Families Livingston, Great Start Livingston, Livingston County Libraries, DHHS Newborn Screening, the Livingston County Health Department, and more.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for everyone who is expecting a baby, or has an infant, to learn about the many resources available in this county,” said Holly Naylor, LACASA’s Family Education and Prevention director.  “Past attendees have told us that they just can’t believe how much support is available right here in our community.”

Three raffle prizes will be given out during the event. Attendees must be present to win. Registration is required. The first 25 families to register will receive a goody bag that includes a sleep sack, onesie, board books, and other items.
