“This is our first year coaching for Brighton and we couldn’t be happier for our riders,” said Brighton coach Lauren Fetner, who took over the team in July along with assistant coach Caitlin Wojtas.  “They have really come together as a team and supported one another throughout the long weekend.”

Brighton finished the weekend winning the C division on Sunday, tying with Owosso for 2nd place in the final cumulative standings moving into the third meet.  Junior Randi Jo Evans, who took top placings in the equitation classes, was Brighton’s leading point-getter.  Also scoring for the Bulldogs were senior Maddelyn Chamberlain with points in trail and showmanship, junior Nicole Aigner (showmanship, equitation and gymkhana classes) and freshman Mary Hill (Western bareback).

Livingston County was also represented in the B division (teams of 5-10 riders) by Pinckney and Fowlerville.  Both teams put in strong showings through the weekend and finished second and third,  respectively.
