A Child’s Garden of Poetry is a DVD collection of poetry readings for children, with animation, by performers like Claire Danes,  Carrie Fisher,  Julianne Moore, Josh Hamilton, Ziggy  Marley, Liam Neeson, Natalie Merchant, Philip Seymour  Hoffman, Dave Matthews and Jeffrey Wright.

More than a dozen  short segments featuring  works by celebrated poets Robert Louis Stevenson, Robert Frost, Matsuo Basho, Li Bai, Claude McKay, William Butler Yeats, Langston Hughes, Edward Lear, William  Shakespeare, Mary Ann Hoberman, Emily  Dickinson and William Wadsworth.

Also included are archival recordings  by E.E. Cummings,  Edna St. Vincent Millay and Carl Sandburg.

Finally, children also share their insights on what poetry means to them.

This title received the 2011 Emmy award for Outstanding Children’s Program.
