Sharing is caring!

Every day, thousands of Livingston County residents read The Livingston Post, the digital-only publication founded in 2009 that provides you with the kind of information and opinion writing you can’t find anywhere else. Our annual number of page views hovers at the 1 million mark, a remarkable achievement for a local, independent site.

About us

The Livingston Post was established after award-winning journalists Maria Stuart and Buddy Moorehouse — with nearly 70 years of combined experience covering Livingston County — were laid off from the local paper after it was purchased by Gannett Corp.

These days, Stuart (who owns and operates the site) and Moorehouse continue to provide their unique and popular brand of insights and commentary on The Livingston Post, which also makes room for robust community comment and discussion with letters to the editor and guest columns.

We offer FREE and PREMIUM content

We NEVER charge for community information; however, premium content is available for just $5 a month — though you can get two months free by paying $50 for a year upfront.

Two additional tiers are available:

1 The Livingston Post is a large site, and ANNUAL SUPPORTER membership of $100 a year helps defray the costs of a private, high-speed server, as well as hardware and software updates.

2 The ANGEL SPONSOR at $250 a year helps us hire freelancers to produce more interesting content, including features and special reports.
