Step back into the world of classic radio as the Community Theatre of Howell presents two delightful radio stories that will be performed live: “The Adventures of Sam Spade–The Attitude Caper,” and “Archie Andrews–Christmas Shopping.” Attendees will experience the magic of classic radio shows recreated in this free performance.
The free performance — directed by Peter Brown, and produced by Kim Carnahan and Melanie Lemont — is set for 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at the Howell High School Freshman Campus, 1400 W. Grand River Ave., Howell.
About the show:
“The Adventures of Sam Spade – The Attitude Caper”: Sam has his work cut out for him when he receives a visit from a dismayed mother with a wandering daughter dilemma. Sam accepts the assignment to investigate the young lady’s goings-on and finds himself consorting amongst a gang of folks with a dramatic flair.
“Archie Andrews – Christmas Shopping”: In this episode of holiday hilarity, hullabaloo ensues when Archie, his parents, and all the gang go Christmas shopping on the same day, at the same time in the same department store unbeknownst to each other. Gee whiz!
