Walk for Warmth raising funds for heating aid on March 15

OLHSA‘s 35th annual Walk for Warmth is set for Saturday, March 15 at the Oceola Community Center, 1661 N. Latson Road in Howell. Registration starts at 9 a.m. with the event kicking off at 9:30 a.m.

Every dollar raised during Walk For Warmth Livingston helps keep local families safe and warm this winter. Those interested in walking can register at http://www.olhsa.org/walk4warmth.

This year’s theme is “March of the Penguins,” and entertainment will include the Hartland Senior Choir singing the National Anthem, DJ Aaron Aeschliman, glitter tattoos, penguin-themed arts and crafts, a scavenger hunt, games, a cake walk with sweet prizes, a souvenir walk-themed photo, free children’s vision screenings provided by Project Kids Sight (Lions of Michigan), a 50/50 raffle, door prizes, and more.

In 2024, OLHSA’s Walk for Warmth kept 340 homes Livingston County safe and warm and raised $38,300.

“We are proud of the continued success of Walk for Warmth and the impact it has on those in need in the communities we serve,” said Dr. Susan Harding, OLHSA CEO. “The event draws hundreds of participants and is an exemplary model of community service and solidarity.”
