Sharing is caring!

Many veterans who served in the military may not be aware of the funeral benefits provided to their loved ones upon their passing. From burial benefits that can help service members, veterans, and their family members plan and pay for a burial or memorial service, to memorial items, and possible monetary benefits, there are many options veterans have.

To help local veterans and their families explore their memorial options, the Livingston County Veteran Services Office is hosting a burial planning seminar at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at the Livingston County Veteran Services classroom, 1420 Lawson Drive in Howell.

“It is a difficult time when someone passes,” said Ramon Baca, Veteran Services director. “Knowing this information beforehand can help a family tremendously and our veterans can have a proper burial.”

The seminar will also include helpful information from Borek Jennings Funeral Homes and attorney Glenn Matecun.

To reserve your spot at this seminar call Veterans Services at (517) 546-6338, or Borek Jennings at (517) 546-0100. You can also visit Veterans Services or Borek Jennings at 1700 W. Highland Road in Howell.
