Sharing is caring!

Livingston County Veterans Services will be commemorating its new space at 1420 Lawson Drive in Howell with a ribbon cutting celebration and office tours at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8. Local Veterans, their families, and the general public are welcomed to come take a look at the office and enjoy appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks.

Along with touring the new facility, the public is invited to meet the staff members who are devoted to providing top-notch service.

“Now that we are fully staffed, our team is excited to provide services to more veterans in a timelier manner, as well as bring into action new initiatives from which veterans and their families can benefit,” said Director Ramon Baca.

Veterans Services has served Livingston County Veterans for over 23 years. The new location is a convenient one-stop shop that assists veterans with accessing their benefits, increasing access to medical care, and providing medical transportation and supportive services.

Additionally, the office offers a library, classrooms, access to computers and printing services, and many informal meeting areas that allow veterans to congregate and catch up. In September, Baca and his team hope to use the large meeting areas to host educational workshops and knowledgeable speakers to help shed light on topics like burial benefits, VA home loans, and more.
