Speed and alcohol appear to be factors in an early-morning, single-vehicle, rollover crash on northbound U.S. 23 north of Center Road, which sent a 27-year-old Grand Blanc resident to Genesys Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
According to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department, a 2004 Toyota Tundra heading north on U.S. 23 ran off the left side of the roadway into the median, losing control as it re-entered and crossed both lanes of northbound U.S. 23, where it came to rest.
Livingston County EMS transported the driver to Genesys Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Northbound lanes of U.S. 23 are closed for approximately four hours during the investigation.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by personnel from the Fenton Area Fire Department and Livingston County EMS.
