Two Fowlerville wrestlers make U.S. Open finals

Adam Coon

Two Fowlerville High School grads — Adam Coon, Class of 2013, and Dalton Roberts, Class of 2014 — have made the finals of the U.S. Open Greco Roman championships, Final X, which is set for May 10 in Newark, NJ.

Coon, of the Cliff Keen Wrestling Club, placed second. A heavyweight wrestler and professional football player for the Seattle Sea Dragons of the XFL, Coon was a three-time All-American for the University of Michigan. You can read our coverage of Adam Coon by clicking here.

Dalton Roberts

Roberts of the U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program, won his third title. He started wrestling in the seventh grade, continued competing through high school and college. At Northern Michigan University, he wrestled Grego-Roman and traveled the world. He’s a two-time Junior World Team member two-time Austrian Open Champion and a two-time U23 World Team member.

Roberts will be representing the U.S. at the Pan Am championships in Bueno Aires on Wednesday.
