The grand opening of Torch 180’s new retail training center at 102 E. Grand River Ave. in Fowlerville is set for 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 12, with the ribbon cutting ceremony taking place promptly at 5 p.m.

The new retail training center will serve as both a functioning retail store and a structured training environment where students can gain real-world experience in all aspects of retail and earn professional retail certifications.

“This grand opening is so exciting for us,” said Rhonda Callahan, president and founder of Torch 180. “We will be able to offer employability training for yet another high-interest industry that has many employment opportunities for our students.”

The evening will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5 p.m., followed by an open house and tours of the retail space with light refreshments and the opportunity to meet students and program leaders.

Torch 180 extends special thanks to Lake Trust Credit Union and Chem-Trend for their generous support of the retail training program. Their partnership is instrumental in building out this space and allowing Torch 180 to expand its career pathway opportunities for individuals who have disadvantages.

At Lake Trust, we believe in expanding opportunity for every person in our communities,” said David Snodgrass, president and CEO of Lake Trust. “Torch 180’s new Retail Training Center is a powerful example of what becomes possible when we invest in people’s potential. We’re honored to support this space and excited to see the impact it will create for students building skills, confidence and brighter futures.”

The Retail Training Center is located at 102 E. Grand River Ave. in Fowlerville. For more information, visit torch180.org/retail-training or contact torch180@torch180.org.
