The Brighton High School Dramatic Arts Program invites audiences to experience the hilariously heartfelt world of Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic — running Nov. 7–9 at the Brighton Center for the Performing Arts, 7878 Brighton Road.
Performances are set for: 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7 (sold out); 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8 (sold out), and 7 p.m.; 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9.
Puffs flips the script on the well-known tale of a “Chosen One” with a lightning scar — this time, the story is told through the eyes of the overlooked students in the Puff House. While the Brave hero battles You-Know-Who, the Puffs navigate their own seven increasingly eventful years of magic, mischief, and friendship. They study hard (sort of), they have feels, they snogg, and they prove that being a hero isn’t about fame — it’s about heart.
Adding to the excitement, this production will be performed black-box style, meaning the audience sits right on stage alongside the cast, creating an intimate, immersive experience where every spell, laugh, and heartfelt moment happens just a few feet away. Seating is limited — and with the first two shows already sold out, tickets are disappearing faster than a vanishing spell.
Tickets are available now at bhsdramaticarts.com.
