State Sen. Lana Theis launched a new webpage so parents, students and educators can share their thoughts and experiences as students return to school in the age of COVID-19.
This call for feedback comes as Livingston County’s school districts work through the best way to provide education and keep students safe, and as Hartland High School goes to all-remote classes temporarily as the number of COVID-19 cases among its students spikes.
Theis, chair of the Michigan Senate’s Education and Career Readiness Committee, stresses the importance of receiving information from the community: “(These) stories and feedback are important to me,” Theis said. “They’ll help inform our policy and budget decisions as we navigate this unique back-to-school season.”
