Teenage boys admit to shooting BB gun at mail delivery person

Two teenage boys, ages 11 and 13, admitted to shooting a BB gun at a mail delivery person at approximately 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019, in the area of Burkhart and Crandall roads in Howell Township. The mail delivery person had been shot in the hand while delivering the mail.

Deputies from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office located the two teens in the area with a BB gun, and they admitted to shooting at the mail delivery person. The juveniles were released to their parents.

The mail delivery person took herself to the hospital for treatment.

Deputies are sending the report to the Livingston County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

Howell Area Fire Department and Livingston County EMS assisted on scene.
