Livingston County parents, guardians, and caregivers of young children can start the summer season on a positive note by registering for LACASA’s upcoming Nurturing Parenting Program, set to begin at the end of May.

This award winning, nationally recognized program offers support and community for caregivers of newborn to 11-year-old children looking to create a healthier family dynamic.

The Nurturing Parenting Program begins on May 27, 2025. Attendees will learn about appropriate expectations, positive discipline, empathy, and much more over the course of this eight week session.

“We believe that strong, nurturing families are the foundation of a healthy community,” said LACASA President and CEO Bobette Schrandt. “The practical, hands-on skills we develop in this program not only create safer and more loving home environments today, but also have a lasting impact, fostering resilience and healthy relationships for years to come.”

The Nurturing Parenting Program meets on Tuesday evenings at LACASA Center in Howell, and costs $125 for one parent or $150 for both parents, including supplemental materials. Limited scholarships are available.

To register, or for additional information, contact LACASA’s Parenting Educator Jan Lobur at janl@lacasacenter.org.
