U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin’s U.S. Senate campaign announced that it had raised $2.8 million in the second quarter of 2023, bringing the campaign’s total haul to over $5.8 million in the four months since launching – the most raised by any U.S. Senate campaign in Michigan history in its first two quarters.

“Grassroots support has powered this campaign from Day 1, and that enthusiasm is what helped Elissa break the record for the most raised in any U.S. Senate campaign’s first two quarters in Michigan history,” said Austin Cook, spokesperson for Elissa Slotkin for Michigan. “Elissa has never taken a dime of corporate PAC money, and she certainly isn’t starting now. Holding this Senate seat will be critical for Democrats to keep the majority, and we’re building a campaign to do just that.”

Since launching, Slotkin has received donations from every county in Michigan, with 89% of all contributions totaling $100 or less. The campaign will report over $3.6 million cash on hand.

Since entering the Senate race, Slotkin has been endorsed by EMILY’s List, Elect Democratic Women, VoteVets, End Citizens United / Let America Vote, and Foreign Policy for America. Last month, she was also endorsed by U.S. Rep. Haley Stevens (MI-11) and more than 30 other community leaders and elected officials from Oakland County. Earlier this spring, Slotkin picked up support from over 50 elected officials and business, labor, and faith leaders in the Lansing area.

In May, she picked up support from 14 major labor unions representing more than 100,000 Michigan workers, including the Michigan Building Trades Council, the Michigan Pipe Trades Association, the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA) and the Michigan State Conference of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) among others.
