Sheriff’s Office seeks info on car involved in pedestrian hit-and-run in Deerfield Township

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying the vehicle that struck a pedestrian walking along Center Road near Mack Road in Deerfield Township at about 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 4.

According to a release from the Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at approximately 9:09 p.m. Wednesday after two Good Samaritans who did not witness the accident called 9-1-1 after stopping to help the injured pedestrian.

According to the preliminary investigation, a 22-year-old Linden resident was walking against the flow of traffic eastbound on Center Road east of Mack Road when an unknown vehicle traveling west on Center Road hit the pedestrian and did not stop.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by personnel from Hartland Area Fire Department, and Livingston County EMS.
