Community Connect 2025 is set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at 2|42 Community Church, 7526 Grand River Ave. in Brighton.
The event will offer many valuable resources for Livingston County residents, including health screenings, haircuts, legal services, and information on topics like housing, utility programs, and basic needs. Many free resources will be available as well. Those who attend can pick up personal care items, winter gear, laundry detergent, diapers, food, and more.
“New this year, the Secretary of State Mobile Office will be on-site and provide a variety of services. Necessary documents and fees will still apply, but we are excited to have a new service for our guests” said Amy Johnston, Community Collaborative planner for the Livingston County Human Services Collaborative Body. If you are interested in visiting the SOS Mobile Office at the event, view https://milivcounty.gov/hscb/homeless-care/sos-mobile/ to see what documentation you’ll need to bring with you.
No registration is needed to attend, and families are more than welcome, though childcare will not be provided.
There are also volunteer opportunities available, from event set-up and tear down to loading assistance and guest guides. Click here for more info.
The event is hosted by 2|24 Community Church, and sponsored by Livingston Sunrise Rotary, Brighton Masonic Lodge, and the Livingston County Homeless Continuum of Care.
