Bill Rogers, who has served as Genoa Township supervisor since 2016, lost his bid for re-election by just 5 votes in Tuesday’s primary, losing to Kevin T. Spicher.

The Brighton Republican was first elected to the state House in 2008, was ineligible to seek re-election in 2014. He ran for Genoa Township supervisor in 2016.

Paulette Skolarus, the longtime Genoa Township Clerk who was running for a seat on the Genoa Township Board, lost her race, as did long-serving board member Jean Ledford.

Winning were Bill Reiber, Candie Hovater, Richard P. Soucy, and Todd Walker.
