Sharing is caring!

According to news reports, Howell High School grad and former U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers is in the running to head the FBI.

The other person under consideration is Kash Patel, the former chief of staff to the Secretary of Defense in the first Trump administration, who has made no bones about his desire to go after Trump’s enemies.

Trump had endorsed Rogers to replace retiring Democrat U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow, a race that Rogers narrowly lost to U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin.

The appointment of a new FBI director is being characterized as a clash between MAGA loyalists and more establishment-minded Republicans.

Rogers, a former FBI agent and congressional intelligence chair who is well liked on Capitol Hill, is reported to have met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago last week.
