Registration open for Cleary University’s Big Cat Golf Classic

Cleary University’s seventh annual Big Cat Golf Classic is set for Thursday, Aug. 11, at The Links of Novi Singh in Novi, 50395 W 10 Mile Road, Novi. Registration opens at 8 a.m., and a shotgun start begins at 9 a.m.

This is the Cleary athletic department’s largest fundraiser.

“One hundred percent of the proceeds to to the athletic department to ensure all students have the financial, academic, and emotional support services they need for success on and off the field, said Heather Bateman, Cleary’s director of athletics and senior vice president of campus operations.

“I would like to extend my gratitude to previous supporters, especially the community of Livingston County, for their generosity over the past few years,” Bateman said. “With this support, we have been able to expand our athletic services and continue to grow as a nationally known and respected NAIA program.”

The event is open to anyone who wants to help support athletics at Cleary. Golfers who choose the standard foursome package will receive 18 holes of championship golf, continental breakfast, lunch, a steak dinner, three beverage tickets, and the opportunity to win prizes throughout the day. The format is a four-person scramble, and the cost is $600 a foursome.

The VIP foursome package includes 18 holes of championship golf, breakfast, lunch, a steak dinner, unlimited drinks, priority concierge check-in, reserved seating at dinner, a Big Cat Golf Classic special souvenir, and an opportunity to win prizes throughout the day. Format is a four-person scramble, and the cost is $1,000 a foursome.

All golfers are eligible to win these contests: closest to the pin, longest drive, and hole in one. They also can purchase 50/50 tickets.

Cleary welcomes sponsors for the following:

• Hole sponsor (includes company name and logo displayed at the hole/tee box, opportunity to network with golfers): $400

• Golf cart sponsor (includes company name and logo displayed on every golf cart, logo placement on event website and social media, opportunity to provide company promotional materials to golfers): $1,500

• Breakfast sponsor (includes standard golf package for one foursome, company name and logo displayed during breakfast, company name and logo on all promotional materials, opportunity to provide company promotional materials to golfers): $2,000

• Lunch sponsor (includes standard golf package for one foursome, company name and logo displayed at the lunch area, opportunity for a company representative to speak at the event dinner, company name included in all promotional materials): $2,000

• Beverage cart sponsor (includes standard golf package for one foursome, company name and logo displayed on beverage cart, company name and logo on all promotional materials, opportunity to provide company materials to golfers): $2,500

• Dinner and cocktail reception sponsor (includes VIP premier golf package for one foursome, company name and logo displayed during cocktail reception and dinner, opportunity for company representative to speak at the event dinner, company name and logo on all promotional materials, company name and logo on all event banners/signage/displays at the Links of Novi, opportunity to provide promotional material to each golfer): $3,000

• Presenting sponsor (includes VIP golf package for two foursomes, prominent “presenting sponsor” billing, VIP golf package, opportunity for a company representative to speak at the event dinner, company name included in all promotional materials, company name and logo on all event banners/signage/displays at the Links of Novi, honorary starting location at the first hole, optional 10X10 display booth space to promote the company, opportunity to provide company promotional material to each golfer): $5,000
