An office pool at the Livingston County Register of Deeds Office resulted in a donation to the Genesis House Clubhouse.

Register of Deeds Brandon Denby presented a check for $100 to the Genesis House Clubhouse Executive Board at its April 18 meeting April 18. Genesis House is a clubhouse where members receiving mental health services are given an opportunity to transition to a more active interaction in their community and reenter the workforce depending on their own goals.

Denby and his staff participated in an in a pool to raise money, one dollar at a time, as a “payment “ for the office allowing casual dress on Fridays. The group decided to donate the entire amount to a different  local charity whenever the amount reached $100.

Denby hopes that other offices and workplaces in Livingston County will undertake similar activities to donate locally and support their community.
