For the very first time, the 17th Annual Hamburg Family Fun Fest just announced that Michigan based Wade Shows, the long time provider of the amusement portion of the festival, has reduced one-day ride wristband prices to $14 when purchased in advance on Wednesday, May 31, on-line only. (Regular priced wristbands are $25 on June 14, $30 on June 15 & 16 and $35 on June 17).

“We’re thrilled to announce the $14 wristband offer extended by Wade Shows. It has never been done before”, said Joanna Hardesty, president of the Hamburg Family Fun Fest. “There is no limit to the number of ride wristbands that can be purchased on-line, on May 31st.”

The 2023 featured  entertainment acts will include: “Rock-N-Circus” performer, Shane Hansen of Florida, who does a high-energy, fast-paced circus stunt show from an 65-foot high dive to impressive juggling using fire; kids and adults alike will be able to ice skate at the June festival on a 35’ x 40’ synthetic rink. Free skates will be provided; Laugh Magic will be performed by Metro Detroit’s own, Jonathan LaChance, whose tricks caught the eye of Penn & Teller; Michigan Chainsaw Artist, Lonnie Glines, will transform wood into works of art; and the Michigan Cornhole company will hold The Flying bags Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, June 17, for all skill levels for which cash prizes will be awarded. Pre-registration is open. There’s something for all ages from the Lil’ Hero play area for toddlers only, to a classic car show, Wade Amusement rides,  (wristbands can be purchased), a laser light show, petting zoo, fireworks and more. Everything is free at the four-day festival except the ride wristband.

All free shows are made possible by the Hamburg Enhanced Recreation Organization (H.E.R.O.) which is a 501c3 non-profit corporation that sponsors and operates the Hamburg Family Fun Fest.
Since the festivals inception in 2006, over $250,000 has been put back into the community, including a defibrillator that was purchased for the Hamburg Township Fire Department that saved a woman’s life. Other beneficiaries around the community have included playground upgrades and maintenance at Bennett Park, a donation to the Serenity Garden at the Hamburg Township Library, construction of a runway at Bennett Park to assist the Hamburg R/C Flyers and funding of the Explorers program through the Hamburg Township Police Department.
It is also a source of pride that the festival is made 100% possible by community volunteers who are lead by H.E.R.O. – the Hamburg Enhanced Recreation Organization and their Board of Directors.
The Hamburg Family Fun Fest is located at 10405 Merrill Road in Hamburg. Off US 23, take the Hamburg/Pinckney exit # 54. Phone 586-861-7209 for more information.
