Meghan Reckling and Connie Robinson will serve as moderators, and Meshawn Maddock will serve as master of ceremonies, for the Feb. 20, 2020, MI-8 Congressional District Republican Primary Candidate Forum.
Meghan Reckling is chair of the Livingston County Republican Party. Reckling has worked in the Michigan legislature for over 17 years, and currently owns two small businesses. In addition to serving as chair of the Livingston County Republican Party, she also serves on the 8th Congressional District Republican Committee and is a state committee member for the Michigan Republican Party.
Connie Robinson currently serves on the Livingston County Republican Party’s Executive Committee and is also a founding member of Protect Our Republic. Robinson has served on the LCRP Executive Committee for the past eight years, is a member of the 8th Congressional District Republican Committee, and also served as a founding member of the Livingston for Trump organization.
Meshawn Maddock, co-founder of Michigan Trump Republicans and the wife of state Rep. Matt Maddock (R-Milford), serves as the Chair of the 11th Congressional District Republican Committee and serves as a member of the National Advisory Board of Women for Trump.
The forum for 8th Congressional Republican candidates will be held on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020, starting at 6:30 pm at Crystal Gardens, 5768 E. Grand River Ave., Howell, MI 48843. Doors will open at 6 pm.
Following the forum, the LCRP and Protect Our Republic are hosting a meet-and-greet with all five Republican candidates. All attendees of the candidate forum are invited to stay for the meet-and-greet where light appetizers and a cash bar will be available.
All five Republican challengers — Mike Detmer, Alan Hoover, Paul Junge, Kristina Lyke, and Nikki Snyder — have confirmed their attendance and participation in the forum.
The forum is free and open to the public.
