Relive fond memories of “The Polar Express” book written by Chris Van Allsburg, and share them with your family this holiday season. The event runs 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, throughout Downtown Hartland.

Activities to include a variety of old favorites and new offerings:

Train rides, Hartland Insurance Agency, Inc.

Crafts, Hartland Deerfield Fire Authority
Ornament giveaway, Gnomes of Hartland
Fun with Hartland United at Village Real Estate Group

“We’re able to foster a love of reading that will last children a lifetime by celebrating a great book and bringing it to life,” said Youth Services Manager Marta Jackson. “Hartland’s Polar Express Day also gives families and our community an opportunity to come together and have fun. There’s nothing more magical than that.”

Note that Hartland Road between Crouse Road and School Street will be closed throughout the event — follow posted detours. Parking is available at Cromaine Library, Hartland Childcare Center, Creekside Elementary, and Hartland Middle School at Ore Creek.

There are no fees for this program due to the generosity of local businesses and partners. Thank you to our Hartland Living friends at Hartland Township, Hartland Chamber, and Hartland Consolidated Schools for their continued support of Cromaine Library programs, and the Hartland communty.
