Pinckney Community High School graduate Margaret (Maggie) Shirk is appearing in the CBS drama “Blue Bloods,” which just happens to star fellow Michigan native Tom Selleck, who plays Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the long-running show.

Here, Shirk poses for a picture with Donnie Wahlberg, who plays police officer Danny Reagan.

Shirk — who is a doctor of optometry in addition to being an actress — plays a surgeon on Friday’s season 12 finale of “Blue Bloods,” which is entitled “Silver Linings.”

Shirk, who graduated from Pinckney Community High School in 1990, also recently played the role of an emergency room doctor on “Blacklist.”

Shirk is married to Steven Sokolowski, who is also from Pinckney, and she is the mother of three daughters. She lives and runs her optometric business in Pennsylvania, and travels to New York for acting jobs.
