Parker MS production of “Shrek, The Musical” runs March 7-9

Parker Middle School will enchant audiences with its upcoming production of “Shrek, the Musical.” The show will run Thursday, March 7, through Saturday, March 9, at Howell High School’s Rod Bushey Performing Arts Center. Showtimes are at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, with two shows on Saturday at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

The Friday evening performance will include a unique Red Carpet Gala experience, where ticket holders will enjoy an exclusive backstage tour, hors d’oeuvres before the show and during intermission, premium seating, and a post-show gathering. Tickets are $15 for general admission, with a limited number of Red Carpet Gala tickets available for $50 each. Tickets can be purchased online at https://onehowellmusical.com.

This beloved musical, set in a mythical “once upon a time” land, follows the story of Shrek (Nathan Walker), an ogre who embarks on a daring quest alongside his loquacious sidekick, Donkey (Raegan Kromer), to rescue Princess Fiona (Sophia Tarnowski). Along the way, Shrek learns the value of friendship, love, and self-acceptance, making this a must-see production for audiences of all ages. The cast features 63 talented students from Parker Middle School, bringing energy, talent, and passion to the stage.

This production is a testament to their hard work, creativity, and passion for the performing arts,” said Kelli Falls, Parker Middle School vocal music teacher and musical director. “We invite the Howell community to join us for a magical journey, promising an evening of laughter, music, and heartwarming adventure.”
