Owners resurrecting Wrangler’s as new, two-story building on same site

It’s been 5-1/2 years since we first told you about the big plans the new owners had for Wrangler’s Saloon in Howell Township, and now those plans are on track to come to fruition.

The old Wrangler’s

Closed during the pandemic, Wrangler’s — the popular country-western dance establishment at 4020 Grand River Avenue at the corner of Burkhart Road — is being demolished, and its owners are hoping to resurrect it as a new, two-story venue with a rooftop bar and large patio later this year as Howell Township has extended its approvals on the project until September.

Plans call for an approximately 7,000-square-foot building with a capacity of 250 people. The current parking lot would be replaced by a new lot with 83 parking spots, four barrier-free spaces, and accommodations for 13 motorcycles.

The owners of Wrangler’s also own 2Fogs Pub in downtown Howell, as well as the New Hudson Inn.

The menu at the new Wrangler’s is expected to be similar to that of the old Wranglers and the New Hudson Inn, featuring wood-fired pizza, smoked barbecue, and mac and cheese.
