One dead in Tyrone Township crash

A 55-year-old Clarkston woman was killed in a two-car crash at about 1 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at Hogan and Linden roads in Tyrone Township.

According to a release from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, the Clarkston woman, who was driving a red, 2006 Chevrolet Impala, was heading east on Hogan Road when she failed to stop at a stop sign. She was struck by a blue Ford 150 driving by a 23-year-old Fenton man, who was heading north on Linden Road.

Resuscitation attempts on the woman were unsuccessful, and she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Speed, seatbelt, drug and alcohol use are still being investigated.

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Fenton Area Fire Department, Livingston County Ambulance, and Michigan State Police.
