North Star Reach, the ninth U.S. residential camp in the SeriousFun Children’s Network founded by actor and philanthropist Paul Newman, has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the Midwest Chapter of the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. This generous grant will support North Star Reach’s Family Camp Weekends, helping bring joy and transformative experiences to children facing serious health challenges and their families.
The Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation is dedicated to providing moments of joy to children battling hunger or illness. This funding will enable North Star Reach to continue its mission of offering medically-supported camp experiences to children who may not otherwise have the chance to enjoy camp. Family Camp Weekends offer children and their families a unique opportunity to escape the routine of medical treatments and hospital visits, enjoy nature, and connect with other families sharing similar experiences.
