Former Howell Mayor Nick Proctor was named the 2021 Citizen of the Year at the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce’s 65th Annual Dinner & Citizen of the Year Celebration on March 3 at Crystal Gardens.

The celebration also recognized community leaders and highlighted key Howell Area Chamber of Commerce programs, activities, and accomplishments. The theme for the event was “Building the Future of Business and Focusing Forward.”

Award recipients also honored this year included Rick Resinger, Chamber Spirit Award; Heather Aeschliman, Community Improvement Award; Lucas Vetter, Game Changer Award; and Renee Chodkowski, Howell Chamber Hall of Famer Award.

The 65th Annual Dinner & Citizen of the Year Presentation was presented by Chamber Champion and Presenting Sponsor Brighton Ford. Other sponsors include St. Joseph Mercy Livingston, Citizens Insurance, First National Bank soon to be Bank of Ann Arbor, and Abovo Visual Communications.
