Nick Fiani scores decisive win in 8th District GOP commissioner primary

Former Brighton School Board member Nick Fiani scored a big win in the 8th District Republican primary for the Livingston County Board of Commissioners, defeating Genoa Township Trustee Jim Mortenson and former Pinckney School Board member Tabitha Dolan.

The district covers parts of Genoa and Hamburg townships.

With most of the votes in Fiani picked up 52% of the vote to Mortenson’s 28% and Dolan’s 18%.

Fiani now moves on to face Democrat Amber Bismark in the fall.
