Although the University of Michigan men’s basketball team came up one victory short (losing in the NCAA final to Villanova), this still ranks as one of the greatest seasons in Wolverine history.

And it all started in Pinckney.

Late last summer, the Wolverines were looking for a team-bonding activity, and they decided to take a trip to the Hell Survivors paintball facility in Pinckney. It ended up being an amazing experience that brought the team together and helped launch them on a season that culminated in a Big Ten Tournament championship, a trip to the Final Four, a trip to the National Championship game, and the most victories in school history.

SB Nation did the story on the Wolverines’ trip to Pinckney. You can read the fascinating story of the Hell Survivors adventure here.
