Michigan’s first gubernatorial primary debate set for Livingston County’s Republican Party Lincoln Day Dinner

The first gubernatorial primary debate of the 2022 election cycle will take place during this year’s Livingston County Republican Party’s Lincoln Day Dinner, set for Thursday, May 12.

The county GOP is forgoing its traditional keynote speaker to partner with MIRS News Service on the debate. The event, so far, will include the following Republican candidates who have confirmed their participation: Mike Brown, James Craig, Tudor Dixon, Ryan Kelley, Michael Markey Jr., Ralph Rebandt, Kevin Rinke, and Garrett Soldano. Only those candidates who have filed their nominating petitions as of April 19 and have legally qualified for the August primary will be allowed to participate.

Doors for the event are slated to open at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 12, at Crystal Gardens Banquet Center, 5768 E. Grand River Ave. in Howell; dinner starts at 6 p.m. Tickets for the event are $75 per person, or $750 for a reserved table of 10.
