2. How did you get involved with the production?
I have been involved with every mainstage production at the high school since my sophomore year, so I knew that I wasn’t going to miss out on auditioning for my senior musical.
3. Have you been in any other theatrical productions? If so, what roles did you play?
Yes, this is my 18th production on stage overall, but my 5th with the high school. Most recently, I played Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream last fall. I’ve also worked a bit behind the scenes, most notably assistant directing The Dining Room in winter of 2021.
4. What do you most enjoy about being part of the production?
I have absolutely loved learning the music and dances to this show. All of the songs are 80s rock, so I was familiar with most of them before the show started, and they are just so much fun.
5. Who is/are your inspiration(s)? Why?
My drama teacher, Amanda Malo. She has taught me a lot and has really helped me grow my confidence.
6. What’s your favorite part of the experience of being in the production?
I always love getting to work with my best friends in a show, and with so many big, energetic group numbers, we get to have a lot of fun together.
7. What can audience members expect when they see the show?
A funny, heart-warming, empowering performance with amazing music.
