2. How did you get involved with the production?
I haven been in other main stage productions on and off stage. I did makeup design for the fall play “A Midsummer Nights Dream,” so they asked if I wanted to be the head of hair and makeup for this production of “Rock of Ages.” I also had to be in this musical because it’s one of my favorites, so I couldn’t miss out on auditioning.
3. Have you been in any other theatrical productions? If so, what roles did you play?
Yes, I have been in many other productions at Howell High school and other locations. I played Nick Bottom in “A Midsummer Nights Dream” at Howell High School. also Lord Scrumptious in “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” at Parker Middle School to name a few.
4. What do you most enjoy about being part of the production?
The journey. I love the process, every step of the way has been so much fun for me. Every rehearsal is party. I love my character so much. This is generally some of the most fun I have had in a production honestly I just love every part about it.
5. Who is/are your inspiration(s)? Why?
My amazing drama teacher Amanda Malo. She truly is just an inspiration to me and everyone else that meets her. Elvira Mistress of the Dark is another huge inspiration to me. Elvira is an icon.
6. What’s your favorite part of the experience of being in the production?
Getting to do it all. I get the honor of being a lead, I get to work on the show and makeup, come up with costumes. This show as a whole has been such a special experience for me as my last Howell High school production. My favorite part if I really had to choose is performing “Final Countdown” or “Hit Me With Your Best Shot.”
7. What can audience members expect when they see the show?
An outstanding musical pack full of amazing music and stellar performances form our cast.
