From From now until opening night on Feb. 22, the Livingston Post will be profiling cast members of the Hartland Players MainStage production of “Apartment 3A,” an adult comedy by Jeff Daniels.

Charles Kirkpatrick, 68, has been married to Debbie for 43 wonderful years. His hobbies include reading, golf, and fishing. He recently retired, and is looking forward to traveling to and hiking our national parks.
2. Character info.
Dal is the owner of an apartment building in the not-so-nice part of town. He cares about his tenants and has sort of adopted his newest renter, Annie
3. How did you get involved with the production?
The Hartland Players does a great job of advertising upcoming productions through social media.
4. Have you been in any other theatrical productions? If so, what roles did you play?

5. What do you most enjoy about being part of the production?
Working with a director who has a great vision for what she wants to accomplish; being part of the cast as we work together to bring our characters to life
6. Who is/are your inspiration(s)? Why?
My inspiration is derived from the director, cast and crew for each show. For “Apartment 3A,” it comes from our director. I’ve performed with her in several shows and I’ve always appreciated her suggestions for improving the performance. As my director on this show, I learning a great deal.
7. What’s your favorite part of the experience of being in the production?
Being part of the evolution starting with auditions reading for a part, rehearsals on book, off book, and coming together as a team, ending with a performance we can be proud of.
8. What can audience members expect when they see the show?
A young lady who is caught between two fellows. One she may love and another she would love to have him leave her alone. Her biggest weakness is that she just cares too much. A famous TV personality may die if Annie fails to convince the public to care. Who will she love in the end. The audience will be surprised.
The Hartland Players MainStage presents “Apartment 3A,” an adult comedy by Jeff Daniels, at the Hartland Music Hall. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Satuday, Feb. 22; 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23; 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29; and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 1.
