Savian Richardson

The Lansing man who aided in his own capture by live-streaming his location in Brighton after fleeing from police on Aug. 25, 2020, is currently housed in the Livingston County Jail on a $20,000 bond.

Savian Richardson, 22, is charged with fleeing and eluding in the Aug. 25 incident, as well as failing to appear for pretrial on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon.

The incident began at about 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, when the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee he was driving east on I-96 near Latson Road. Richardson had a felony warrant out for carrying a concealed weapon stemming from an earlier pursuit by the Sheriff’s Office in March 2020.
