Authorities are investigating the death of a 68-year-old Tyrone Township man they suspect may have been killed by a domestic animal inside the home.

According to a release from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, deputies from the sheriff’s Animal Control division were conducting a follow-up in the 8000 block of Faussett Road in Tyrone Township when they found the man dead inside his home. While no foul play is suspected, deputies suspect the man may have been the victim of an attack by a domestic animal.

The victim was transported to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing for an autopsy.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Hartland Area Fire Department and Livingston County EMS. The death remains under investigation by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau.
