Farmington-based LOC Credit Union recently closed on the purchase of property at 1025 E. Grand River Ave., near Kissane Avenue, for the construction of a 3,000 square-foot, full-service branch. Work is expected to commence this spring and wrap up in late 2023 or early 2024.
The new Brighton location will be LOC Credit Union’s third Livingston County branch along with locations in Howell and Hartland, and its sixth branch overall. The building was designed by Brighton-based Lindhout Associates Architects. It will feature a full-service drive-up ATM, two additional drive-up lanes, a night depository, and private offices for financial service consultations.
In announcing the new location, LOC Credit Union Board Chairman Michael Lasley said the branch expansion has been a high priority of LOC’s board of directors for years.
“We believe we have found the right location in the right community to add to our existing locations in Livingston County,” Lasley said.
Credit Union President/CEO Stephen Grech agreed.
“Brighton is one of Livingston County’s most robust communities,” Grech said, “and LOC has a large concentration of members with a Brighton address, so this highly visible location is a perfect fit as we look to expand our reach in this part of the county.”
