The regular season wrapped up in high school football tonight, as teams around the state tried to get to the magical five-win mark to be eligible for the playoffs. A five-win season won’t guarantee a spot in the playoffs, but it’s likely.
The playoff teams and brackets will will be announced on Sunday at 7 p.m.
Here are the results from Week 9:
Pinckney 16, Fowlerville 6
Both teams had already qualified for the playoffs. The visiting Pirates move to 7-2 with the win, while the Glads go into the playoffs at 6-3.
Dearborn Fordson 46, Brighton 35
The Bulldogs suffered just their second loss of the season, but will go into the playoffs carrying a 7-2 record.
Livonia Churchill 27, Howell 0
The Highlanders entered the game at 4-4, needing a win to qualify for the playoffs. The shutout loss leaves them at 4-5, though, on the outside looking in.
Livonia Franklin 42, Hartland 21
